Apple Glass will apparently start at $499 and work with prescription lenses. Apple initially wanted to reveal the smart glasses but that might get delayed until 2021, a report says.
Apple has been working on smart glasses for years. On Tuesday, Front Page Tech host Jon Prosser shared suspected facts about the augmented reality glasses, which he says will be called Apple Glass.
Apple Glass will brace with an iPhone and be organized by gestures on and in front of the glasses, according to Prosser, who said he saw a video of a prototype pair. Both lenses will apparently have parades and there will also be a sensor in the frames. Prosser added that Apple Glass is intended to look identical to a typical pair of glasses and likely won’t feature a camera.
Apple CEO Tim Cook has specified that the firm is formulating for a big future in augmented reality, saying that the technology is actually as important as the iPhone.
The receiver is expected to use AR technology, which joins computer images on the real world, and VR, which ruses your mind into believing you’ve been elated into a computer platform. Apple’s move into headsets would also put it in deeper race with Microsoft and Facebook, whose respective HoloLens and Oculus devices are considered among the market leaders.
